BBC WEATHER CHOOSES SAFIRE CHROMA KEYER FOR NEW PRESENTATION FORMAT (December 2004)

BBC Weather, a major user of chroma keyers in the UK, has chosen Crystal Vision's Safire digital keyer to produce the new presentation format for BBC Weather bulletins. The national forecasts will be broadcast throughout Britain several times a day, on terrestrial and all digital television platforms.

As well as three Safire chroma keyers and a dedicated 1U Safire Controller, BBC Weather also bought 57 interface boards including MON210 monitoring encoders, ShARC-XP aspect ratio converters, AADA416FM quad analogue audio distribution amplifiers and DEC101S and DEC104S decoders.

Safire is a compact 100mm x 266mm board, which fits in any of Crystal Vision's frames. The sophisticated chroma keyer offers advanced functionality and a superior key quality that can be fine tuned with several adjustment options.
