ANOTHER 63 TANDEMS FOR ESPN STAR SPORTS (March 2006)

Earlier this year, Crystal Vision was delighted to win another very significant order from ESPN STAR Sports, which included 42 TANDEM-110s, 21 TANDEM-300s and five SYNNER144s. Purchased through One-Connect International PTE Ltd., this follows their previous interface order received eighteen months ago for a total of 190 boards, of which 84 were TANDEMs.

Based in Singapore and broadcasting live world premier sports and leading regional events throughout Asia, ESPN STAR Sports is a 50:50 joint venture between two of the world’s leading cable and satellite broadcasters - ESPN Inc. and STAR.

The TANDEM boards purchased enable ESPN STAR Sports to produce a multi-language output, broadcasting individually customised feeds to each country through its 13 networks.

TANDEM remains one of Crystal Vision’s most popular series of products, offering customers a range of flexible embedder/de-embedders with unique features. The multi-functionality of the SYNNER144 combines a synchroniser, tracking audio delay and embedder/de-embedder on one board allowing ESPN STAR sports to save money and valuable rack space.
