STV CHOOSES CRYSTAL VISION FOR REGIONAL NEWS STUDIOS (December 2006)
In a follow up to their relocation earlier on in the year, STV (formerly known as Scottish TV) has once again chosen Crystal Vision as the exclusive supplier of broadcasting equipment for their regional news studios, which are currently undergoing installation.
Two studios, located in Edinburgh and Dundee but being controlled remotely in Glasgow and Aberdeen, are being kitted out with numerous products from the Crystal Vision range, including SYN102, TANDEM-110, DACA214, AADA416FM, Demon 2, DDA108 and the Statesman 4 PC Control System.
In essence, this provides STV with all the technology they need to successfully broadcast their regional news programmes, with hardware to embed/de-embed audio, synchronise pictures and audio and distribute analogue audio, thus bringing all the pieces together using fewer modules.
STV's order - placed in October - saw them purchase a total of well over 150 products. This is testament of Crystal Vision's dedication to providing customers with reliable and innovative products, coupled with friendly and knowledgeable service and advice.
Speaking earlier on in the year why STV chose Crystal Vision, Gary Welsh, Technical Manager, commented: "We have been working with Crystal Vision products at Scottish TV for several years now and have always had a good relationship with the company. Furthermore, the multi-functionality of some of Crystal Vision's products means a lower number of boards are required, making their system truly cost effective.” |
