UNDBITTE SELECTS SAFIRE FOR NEW SHOPPING CHANNEL (September 2007)

A lot can happen in a month! This was proved recently by undbitte entertainment - the German systems integrator who installed two Safire digital chroma keyers for the August on-air debut of Glück TV's new shopping channel only a few weeks after first meeting Crystal Vision at the Broadcast LIVE show in London.

Based in Cologne, undbitte specialises in post production and facilities hire as well as systems integration. Glück TV wanted undbitte to build a complete studio at the broadcaster's own premises in Düsseldorf for a new satellite channel. Glück TV's aim was to offer a new concept in the presentation of television shopping by using a two camera virtual studio, resulting in considerable flexibility in the presentation of the products.

Undbitte was keen to evaluate the possible chroma keyer options and eventually opted for Crystal Vision based on Safire's convincing performance, ease of operation, price and the ability to integrate other video and audio processing products in the same frame.

Undbitte additionally selected Crystal Vision's ADDEC-200 to convert the cameras and provide a digital feed for the chroma keyers, ViViD to match the video delay generated by the virtual graphics and TAD202 to create a matching audio delay.

Operation of the chroma keyers is being done by the popular Safire Controller panel, while control of the interface products comes from the Statesman PC software.

The order was co-ordinated by Crystal Vision's German distributor, SHM Broadcast, who was able to provide undbitte with invaluable local assistance.

Undbitte has been impressed by Crystal Vision's quick delivery and the high level of technical support offered.
