CRYSTAL VISION CHOSEN FOR SIBERIA OB TRUCKS (September 2005)
Crystal Vision was delighted to receive a very large order from the Siberian company Yugra TV purchased through Vidau Systems, the systems integrator and Crystal Vision distributor based in Moscow.
Yugra is a city located in western Siberia and the home of Yugra TV. Yugra itself has a very severe climate, with long, cold winters in which the temperature goes down to -40oC and contrasting short, hot summers when the temperature can be as hot as 35oC! In this environment, Crystal Vision products will demonstrate their robust nature and ability to perform in all climates.
Broadcasting a huge variety of programs over a 20 hour period each day including news, sport, movies, cultural and entertainment shows, Yugra TV transmissions cover the eastern area of Russia (western part of Siberia).
To coincide with the refurbishment of the main Yugra TV building, two new Outside Broadcast trucks are being fitted with Crystal Vision products to be used with eight cameras on external broadcasts.
The order for Yugra TV included a full range of interface, distribution and processing equipment. In particular, five Safire chroma keyers to be used with the virtual set equipment and 59 TANDEM-110s to embed and de-embed AES audio, housed in 18 Indigo frames, 17 of which have active fronts for use with Statesman control software.
The trucks themselves were transported to Russia from the USA and arrived at Vidau Systems in September where they are being fitted with the Crystal Vision products.
Vidau Systems is intending to show the completed OB trucks on Stand C46 at the NATEXPO Exhibition being held in Moscow on the 16th-19th November. |
