Crystal Vision products are known throughout the professional broadcasting industry for their technical innovation. The company offers 00 products in three main areas: interface equipment, digital keyers and picture storage.

Interface allows the conversion, distribution and processing of any Standard Definition, High Definition or 3Gb/s video signal or any analogue or digital audio signal.

The video interface includes converters, encoders, decoders, distribution amplifiers, synchronisers, aspect ratio converters, routing switches, colour correctors and delays. The audio interface includes converters, distribution amplifiers, delays and embedders/de-embedders.

The company also offers dual link to single link converters which can be used to interface between dual link and 3Gb/s equipment or to conveniently transport 3D on a single wire.

Keyers allow the easy creation of virtual images by replacing a real colour with a graphic or video source.

Picturestore is Crystal Vision's latest area of speciality based on solid-state fast reading and writing DRAM and permanent Flash picture storage - with the initial products being a logo keyer, clip and sting store and long variable video delay.

Crystal Vision offers one fully compatible system. Each of the products are space-saving 100mm x 266mm (4 x 10.5 inches) modules which all fit in the same standard frames. This means any interface, keying, picture storage, analogue, digital, video, audio, Standard Definition, High Definition, 3Gb/s and fibre products can be mixed together with total flexibility.

Crystal Vision offers a frame size for every application, whether you need one board or a hundred.

The Indigo range of frames combines stylish looks with the ultimate in practical functionality, including hot swap boards, PSUs and fans, a sophisticated cooling system, optional redundant power supplies and advanced status monitoring.

With an exceptionally high packing density, the Indigo frames are available in 4U (housing 24 boards), 2U (12 boards), 1U (six boards) or desk top box (two boards) sizes.

Many of the interface products offer dual capability with two inputs, making them the equivalent of two products on one board and meaning Crystal Vision can fit an amazing 48 channels in 4U!

Video and audio boards requiring different rear connectors can be housed together in the same frame thanks to the wide range of removable rear modules, selected depending on how many inputs and outputs are required and whether you need BNC, D-Type or DIN connectors.

The rear modules are available in single slot, double slot and quad slot sizes and are fitted on to the back of the frame.

Crystal Vision gives you the choice of flexible control options too. Choose from board edge, an active front panel on the frame, a remote control panel located in a different room, a remote control panel that offers control over an Ethernet network, a dedicated control panel for selected products, SNMP control and monitoring, or use any computer on a network with our PC software.

One area of Crystal Vision's expertise is embedded audio, with products like the TANDEM 310 allowing you to do anything with analogue or digital audio: shuffle, replace, delay, process, monitor or embed or de-embed up to four groups.

Crystal Vision can offer a full range of modules for virtual studios, including the world's leading chroma keyers: the High Definition Safire HD 2 and the latest chroma keyer for use with all sources Safire 3.

Other products for the virtual studio include the LKEY211 and LKEY HD linear keyers and the ViViD, ViViD HD, ViViD HD-20 and ViViD HD-40 video delays. Or why not use the SW808 or SW803 3G crosspoint routing switches to provide a selection of virtual backgrounds?
