Up-and-down-AAFD is a combined up/down/cross converter, ideal for the up, down or cross conversion of embedded audio sources. It can convert between Standard Definition and High Definition (720p and 1080i at both 50Hz and 59.94Hz) and between different HD formats. Up-and-down-AAFD's Active Format Description inserter will insert SMPTE 2016 picture aspect ratio data into the otuput video for aspect ratio correction by downstream equipment. Motion adaptive video de-interlacing and detail enhancement processing ensure an excellent output picture. It also includes a fully flexible SD to SD 10 bit aspect ratio converter.
