Up-Down-ATX 3G 3G/HD/SD up/down/cross converter
 
Up-Down-ATX 3G is a combined up/down/cross converter, ideal for the up, down or cross conversion of 3Gb/s, HD or SD sources. With the ability to handle four groups of audio with audio routing and to insert and read AFD data, it can perform two up, down or cross conversions simultaneously and puts out dual outputs that are constant in format and co-timed. It can also convert timecode and transcode teletext/subtitles.

Up-Down-ATX 3G allows flexible up, down and cross conversions between 3Gb/s, HD and SD sources, provides an output picture that broadcasters standardise on and can perform two different conversions simultaneously, giving out co-timed dual outputs. Includes four group embedded audio handling and AFD, timecode, teletext and closed captions functionality.

Use the 8 x 8 stereo router to shuffle your embedded audio or select which groups to embed into the output stream
Includes aspect ratio converter, with Anamorphic, Letterbox, Pillarbox and Full Screen conversions and customised picture size, position and cropping
Ensures the picture is the right shape at all times by coping with both analogue and digital SD blanking widths
Automatically choose the aspect ratio: includes SMPTE 2016 AFD, WSS and Video index insertion and reading
Use it as an HD ARC: correct the aspect ratio of HD sources that were originally up converted using the wrong aspect ratio
Can be used for live playout: will reconfigure itself instantly should the input format change, allowing aspect ratio to be changed live on air
Will compensate for video delays generated by other equipment, with variable video delay of up to one frame
Flag up faulty video and audio signals: with status indications of video not present, video frozen, video black, audio not present and audio silent
Convert timecode as you up and down convert: can translate between HD Ancillary Timecode and SD DVITC, as well as setting phase of interlaced output based on ATC data
Can carry teletext and subtitle information across different definitions: can create OP-47 data stream when up converting and can take teletext data out of OP-47 packets and encode it as analogue waveforms when down converting
Transport of closed captions between different definitions (CEA-708 and CEA-608)
Get integrated fibre connectivity in a single slot by fitting the FIP fibre input option or FOP fibre output option
Get six reclocked loop-throughs by fitting the DA6 top board
Space-saving: 100mm x 266mm module allows 12 Up-Down-ATX 3G in 2U (24 in 4U, six in 1U, two in desk top box)
Easy to use, with flexible control including board edge, GPI, frame active front panel, remote control panel, Ethernet control panel, SNMP or PC software
